Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of LocalBee, operated by Localbee, LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using LocalBee at localbee.app, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

What LocalBee is

LocalBee is a community platform that provides a directory of local businesses and organizations and a listing of community events. We do not endorse, guarantee, or take responsibility for the accuracy of information provided by listed organizations or event organizers.

Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You may not share your account with others or create accounts on behalf of someone else without their permission.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we determine, at our sole discretion, are being used inappropriately.

Business listings

Organizations listed in the LocalBee directory are either added by our team or submitted by business owners through our application process. By claiming or creating a listing, you represent that:

  • You are authorized to represent the organization
  • The information you provide is accurate and current
  • You will keep your listing information up to date

We reserve the right to remove or suspend listings that contain false information, violate these Terms, or are reported and confirmed as inappropriate.

Event postings and specials

Event posting and specials are available to organizations on a premium subscription. By posting an event or special, you represent that the information is accurate and that you have the right to promote it. You agree not to post content that is:

  • Misleading, fraudulent, or deceptive
  • Illegal or promoting illegal activity
  • Hateful, harassing, or discriminatory
  • Spam or commercial solicitations unrelated to a legitimate local business or event

We reserve the right to remove any event or special that violates these Terms without notice.

Premium subscriptions

Premium features (including event posting and specials) are available for $9.00 per month or $90.00 per year per organization. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled.

Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your organization dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not offer prorated refunds for partial months.

Payment failures

If a payment fails, we will notify you by email. Your account will enter a grace period of 7 days during which premium features remain active. If payment is not resolved within the grace period, your account will be downgraded to the free tier.

Refunds

We do not offer refunds except where required by law. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us at support@localbee.app within 30 days of the charge.

Content you submit

You retain ownership of content you submit to LocalBee (event descriptions, organization details, images, etc.). By submitting content, you grant Localbee, LLC a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display and distribute that content as part of operating the platform.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to submit any content, including images. Do not submit content that infringes on the intellectual property rights of others.

Prohibited uses

You agree not to:

  • Use LocalBee for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the platform
  • Scrape or systematically download content from LocalBee without permission
  • Interfere with the operation of the service
  • Impersonate another person or organization
  • Submit false or misleading information

Copyright and DMCA

All original content on LocalBee — including our name, logo, design, and written content — is the property of Localbee, LLC and is protected by copyright law. Content submitted by users (business descriptions, event details, images) remains the property of its respective owners.

If you believe content on LocalBee infringes your copyright, please send a written notice to support@localbee.app that includes:

  • A description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed
  • The URL or location of the allegedly infringing content on LocalBee
  • Your contact information (name, address, phone number, email)
  • A statement that you have a good faith belief the use is unauthorized
  • A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf
  • Your physical or electronic signature

We will review valid notices and remove infringing content promptly. Repeat infringers will have their accounts terminated.

Disclaimers

LocalBee is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that listings and events are accurate or complete. LocalBee is a directory and event listing platform — we are not responsible for the actions, products, or services of listed organizations.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Localbee, LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of LocalBee or any content posted on the platform. Our total liability for any claim arising out of these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Klamath County, Oregon.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by posting a notice on the site. Continued use of LocalBee after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
